Stucco

This chimney was previously repaired by a stucco contractor hired by a previous home owner..

The stucco was replaced on the four panels on this chimney without replacing the deteriorating "sand lime brick" behind.

Another problem encountered was the color of the newer stucco didn't match well.

The stucco was separating from the chimney in panels, allowing water to enter the structure, thus creating more damage to the chimney.

We removed the stucco one panel at a time.

The deteriorated brick was replaced with a new durable clay brick.

New stucco "and wire lathe" was then applied over the new clay brick.

The triangle panel to the right was redashed to match the existing color.

The finished work appeared original with no evidence of any maintenance.

This chimney was rebuilt from the ground up to the original height, matching the original brick, stone and stucco colors.

A six ft. by six ft. section of stucco was removed and replaced at the top of this building.  This is a common area that frequently needs maintenance due to water intrusion, where the structure is most exposed to the weather.
